While watching the Emmys last night, The Gloss staff noticed a startling new micro trend: hide your womanly breasts at all costs. More

After what felt like forever without it, Mad Men is currently on TV for what will probably feel like way too short a time. In addition to providing plans for all of our Sunday nights, this means its primary players (but mainly the women) get to wear lots of pretty clothes about talk about themselves in magazines. In the latest issue of Net-a-Porter‘s interactive online fashion mag The Edit, criminal undersharer January Jones dons some truly gorgeous outfits and looks, well, gorgeous in them. The accompanying article is fairly similar content-wise to The New York Times‘ sexist hack job, only it takes a strong stance in favor of Ms. Jones’ right to privacy. Imagine that! But even if you are still mad at her for refusing to tell us everything about her interior life, perhaps you can content yourself with the fact that she seems committed to using her exterior to create some really striking images. I’m not a huge fan of January Jones. I still can’t decide if she’s a good actress or if she is just playing herself on Mad Men, and I don’t think we’d be friends if we knew each other. But that doesn’t mean I am not going to call the fuck out of someone when I see them treating her in a sexist manner. More
All right, guys: you’re probably getting sick to death of 2013 Met Gala stuff, but we need to talk hair and makeup before we depart this shitshow entirely. Let’s get right to it: here’s our list of the best Met … More
There’s nothing like a splashy party with a humanitarian angle thrown by a fashion brand to draw out stylish celebrities–last night’s Coach party was no exception. The accessories giant threw its annual benefit for the Children’s Defense Fund in Santa Monica and lured out some bright stars–January Jones, Chloe Sevigny, Rosario Dawson, Hailee Steinfeld and more.
Here’s the very Spring appropriate red carpet. More
Today, January Jones and Betty Draper are going to have a beauty showdown! Who is lovelier? We tried this last week with Emilia Clarke vs, Daenerys Targaryen and the ultimate winner was, “This game is absurd, because they are the same person!” But who will win this time? I bet it will be Betty Draper, because I love it when people style their hair elaborately and wear fifties style make-up. More
That moment you’ve all (maybe) been waiting for is nearly upon us. No, I don’t mean Game of Thrones, silly – I’m talking about season 6 of Mad Men. But before us normal people get a chance to see the show, there was a snazzy red carpet premiere over at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles because television people like to do those, too.
As one might have guessed, everybody looked sufficiently classed up in that people who are in Mad Men are expected to. However, it seems as though they may have caught the same “tastefully boring” disease that Ashley revealed of the Game of Thrones red carpet. More
Everyone’s favorite TV
Medea mom is featured prominently in the spring/summer issue of Vs Magazine, and she looks pretty different from how we’re used to seeing her. Apparently, someone in the art department decided it was a good idea to do the ol’ “playing against type” trick on her with a bunch of black eyeliner and what looks like some temporary black hair dye. And you know what? It totally was. Maybe it’s just my gothic sensibilities showing through, but I tend to think a little darkness and gloom make almost any conventionally attractive blonde about twenty times hotter. It does look like she’s in the process of dyeing her hair in some of the pictures, though. More
Last night, the SAG Awards took place. We brought all the looks from the red carpet, from the pre-party circuit, we brought you the ten best dressed along with the best and worst beauty. Now, unfortunately, it’s time for the ten worst dressed.

Last night’s SAG Awards coverage was pretty easy for us, beauty-wise. Everyone either looked amazing in the face/hair department–Marion Cotillard, Anne Hathaway, Elisabeth Moss–or not so amazing in the face/hair department.
Ahead, the sleek blowouts, statement lips and one really, really bad wig of the 2013 SAG Awards… More
The Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards if you’re nasty) are nigh. If you like actors congratulating actors for overcoming a bunch of stuff and being actors, then the SAG Awards are for you. And we, The Gloss, are bringing you the red carpet looks in real time(-ish).
This week’s version of “Disney Princesses as [blank]” involves some very intricate dresses. More
Chanel had a splashy party last night, celebrating its the 80th anniversary of the ‘Bijoux De Diamants’ collection created by Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel. Naturally, a bunch of the brand’s very fancy friends and spokeswomen showed up: Blake Lively with her gigantor wedding ring, January Jones, Diane Kruger, Alexa Chung, a slew of models and more. They pretty much all wore Chanel, doye. More
