Anticipation for Karl Lagerfeld‘s Chanel film, Once Upon A Time, has been building ever since the project and its star, Keira Knightley, were announced a few months ago. After a lovely trailer was released in April, we have been increasingly excited — Knightley looks magic and the clothing (obviously) looks wonderful. However, I must admit: even in all its prettiness, the film is a bit awkward.

Well, Beyonce is kind of a feminist. She’s a “modern day” feminist which is kind of an annoying, hedging term. But still! Kind of! She’s kind of into feminism!

And then there are these celebrities, who are proud feminists, and aren’t ashamed to say so.

I’ll say it a hundred times – feminism just means you believe in equal opportunity. If your dream was to do anything, and you wanted the same ability to pursue that dream a man would have (and to be paid the same amount for it) it’s okay to call yourself a feminist.

Please, take note, Taylor Swift. These people are great.
