The termination of a dental assistant in Iowa has been upheld in a ruling by the state’s Supreme Court. After more than ten years’ employment at James Knight’s dental practice, Melissa Nelson has been let go “because her boss and his wife felt [she] was a threat to their marriage.”
This sets an interesting precedent! What other reasons can you get fired for in Iowa now, do you think? More
The Kardashians are pretty used to legal disputes at this point (or maybe they just like them?) because they can’t stop endorsing useless, terrible products. More
As you may have heard, Lady Gaga was recently sued for $10 million by MGA Entertainment, the company with whom she’d been collaborating to produce a Lady Gaga doll. (She won.) Just to bring you up to speed: Christian Louboutin got pissed at Yves Saint Laurent after the French luxury house released a red-soled heel as part of its 2011 Cruise collection. Louboutin believes itself to be the only entity that can produce red-soled shoes. YSL then told Louboutin to suck it. Excitingly, attorneys for both brands are saying more things to the press! Much catty attorney-talk ahead. More
