Topic: Male Models
Scouted in London at the age of 22, handsome redhead Shane Lapper launched a successful career as a male model*. And even though Lapper was employed as an aspirational standard of male beauty, he always felt something wasn’t right: “I think I was about seven when I realized I should have been born a girl. I have five sisters, and I’d watch them all dress up and put on make up and I’d be so jealous.”
As Lapper’s career took off, his suspicions that he was in “the wrong body” only intensified: “It just felt wrong.”
And so, Shane the male model became Chloe… More
The modeling industry is one place where women completely dominate. Sure, that’s hugely problematic if you’re looking for anything positive from a women’s rights perspective but, for better or for worse, women completely dominate when it comes to getting paid for how they look. Or, as Forbes recently put it in their Top Earning Male Models list, ”[it's] a career that is neither easy nor lucrative for men.” More
I, personally, would appreciate a sheep to go with my handbag. More
Nothing says “get excited about menswear” more than a bunch of male models singing “Get Lucky” in unnerving unison while standing very still. There are some interesting hats involved, but alas, no Daft Punk helmets.

Have you heard of model boxing matches? They are apparently a thing in New York right now. I ended up at one by accident the other day, on mushrooms, and it was actually pretty amazing. More
“I’m not androgynous,” she stresses, holding her drink with tattooed fingers. “There is no ambiguity with me.” More
Move over, Andrej Pejic. There’s a hot new gender-bending male model in town, and he is coming for you!
As you can see, he has that je ne sais quoi quality about him that is impossible to fake. Is it even legal to be this awesome? I discovered him by way of a friend who, over the course of much psychedelically enhanced internet exploration, has figured out that you get the best results if you remember to type “don’t lie” at the end of every Google search. He
has yet to tell me can’t remember what exactly he typed to find this wonderful man, but does it matter? I am just happy he landed in my inbox, so that I might share him with the world.
And, as it turns out, this shining Adonis is not just a pretty face, but a master copywriter as well. In the “condition” section, he writes:
“Like a royal, golden garden, but under the moonlight, the serious moonlight. Don’t mess this up!”

Casey Legler, like many models, is tall (6’2”) with a long lanky torso and really cool hair. She’s also represented by Ford Models… on the men’s board. More
Going shirtless with only a price tag isn’t exactly doing anything for male models everywhere. More
We haven’t seen Andrej Pejic in a little while, but it looks like his massive success has blazed a clear trail for the mainstreaming of extreme androgyny. More
As the desire for convenient sexytimes has driven the evolution of web-based technology, prurient material (or better yet, actual sex) has gotten easier and easier to access with just the click of a button. In honor of this beautiful fact, Interview Magazine has created an editorial called “Brief Encounters” (get it?) in which its underwear-clad male models are cast as members of the gay hook-up site Grindr, complete with little screen names and chat boxes. For those not in the know, Grindr is a GPS-enabled sex map for the modern homosexual male’s mobile device that helps guide users to the nearest available beej. No, really! Why they haven’t come out with a decent version of this for straight people yet I do not know, but I hope you, the man-liking female reader, will enjoy perusing these photos with the knowledge that many of those swelling bulges actually want to go in a vagina. Or at least a few do. Statistics! More
Andrej Pejic is officially the only person cool enough to pull off the whole “self marriage” thing. Or in this case, “noir-ish self romance with the help of Photoshop.”
In a new Candy Magazine editorial, Pejic continues to gender-bend by playing both halves of a male-female couple. Like most great editorials, it makes you want to write your own narrative of what’s going on, so that’s what I’m going to do. More
