It has just been announced that Daniel Day-Lewis is going to play Abraham Lincoln in an upcoming biopic. This leads, of course, to a way more interesting question: who is going to play his wife, Mary Todd Lincoln? While Jackie O is more famous, Mary had her own incredible biography. Desired by both Lincoln and his eventual opponent for the presidency, Steven A. Douglas, she totally made the right call. Three of her four kids and her husband died during her lifetime, got criticized for buying new furniture and decorations for the White House while the country was at war, and probably suffered from manic depression.
