For an industry that prides itself on constant change, innovation and evolution, fashion seems incapable of moving forward from certain ideas. More
I know I am very late to the “My Crush” game, but I have just received some very significant news and I am therefore compelled to tell you all about my ridiculous love for Jason Segel. More
Michelle Williams is a great actress, and part of being a great actress is being able to disappear into a role and not just look like “celebrity X” up there on the screen. For their Spring/Summer ’13 issue, the always artistic AnOther Magazine took advantage of that fact and styled Ms. Williams, who is interviewed within about playing Glinda the Good Witch in Oz the Great and Powerful, in eight very different looks, from club kid to retro glamour puss to…some sort of farmer? As expected, she looks great in all of them. (Especially the farmer one.) More
The real tragedy here is how great she looks in every other capacity. More
The performance involved lots of fire–coming out of the stage, out of the front of a guitar, out of the back of a guitar–sweating, and attitude, on a stage flanked by two truly, impressively heinous profile portraits (?) of Beyonce (?). If you love occasional singing along to a pre-recorded backing track and medleys, then you probably loved it. More
Michelle Williams, yet again, is more stylish than most in this Wild Nothing video. More
The 2012 BET Awards were held in Los Angeles last night and it was, strangely, full of ’90s stars (Brandy! Monica! The members of Destiny’s Child who got kicked out…?). Also, Nicki Minaj wore one of her most intense outfits yet. Check out red carpet looks from Selita Ebanks, Willow Smith, Kerry Washington, Taraji P. Henson and more ahead. More
I remember hooking up with a guy in college who said to me that he loved girls with short hair because it proves that they have balls. I agreed with him: “fuck yeah, I have balls!” That, and I’m too lazy to grow it out. More

You guys sick of Oscars red carpet coverage yet? Yes? TOO BAD. Anyway, in light of all the ‘tude we’re giving attendees today (and me being a complete dick on Twitter last night), I’ve decided to just do a straight up Best Dressed list and put some positivity back in this cold bleak world. Yes, I fucking loved Gwyneth Paltrow‘s caped Tom Ford. But she wasn’t my favorite! Yes, I was split on Michelle Williams but I included her anyway. Take a look and feel free to be a complete dick in the comments. It’s only fair! More
Other than saying “hey, I watched the Academy Awards! I enjoy pretty ladies in pretty dresses.” This is what your favorite Oscars 2012 dress says about your soul in the long run. It’s approximately 100% accurate, so I’m sorry if you haven’t realized these things about yourself already. More
Much has been made of the Academy’s bizarre nominations this year–and their many glaring omissions. Although everyone in the Best Supporting Actress and Best Actress camps is obviously a talented lady, we’re still left with an extremely conservative group, sartorially speaking. We tried to figure out a dress or two for every woman in question, but of the ten, only four are known for ever taking anything resembling a risk: Rooney Mara, Michelle Williams, Jessica Chastain and Bérénice Bejo. Here are our hopes and predictions for Sunday. More
Love her or hate her, Lana Del Rey doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, or at least her name isn’t. In some sort of ode to the American singer, Mulberry named its newest bag in its collection “The Del Rey.” More
The BAFTAs–the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (awards) if you’re nasty–were held yesterday. For those stateside who don’t cover international red carpets, it’s the British equivalent of the Academy Awards. Which is why Meryl Streep was there! Also in attendance: Michelle Williams, Penelope Cruz, Christina Hendricks, Tilda Swinton and more. Fashion-wise, it was all a very staid affair, but much better than the Grammys.
