The Miss America pageant is being held tonight in Las Vegas. To prepare for the event, the Paris casino featured custom pairs of shoes inspired by each of the states and designed in part by the Misses themselves. This AP article gives us a couple of details – the Connecticut shoe had a basketball hoop on it as a shoutout to the UConn women’s basketball team; the Louisiana shoe had a Mardi Gras theme – but a sad dearth of pictures.
