The November issue of Harper’s Bazaar features a cover story on Nicole Kidman that serves to remind us that she’s not just some Botox-ed ice queen, but a thoughtful, mature actress with intelligent things to say. It’s accompanied by a garish editorial shot by (guess who?) Terry Richardson, who puts the classy 45-year-old lady in the unlikely environs of a monster truck rally. Whether he did this as a commentary on high vs. low culture, a visual hint that she’s still young at heart, or simply the logical end product of the mind-blowing-ly creative notion that girls look hot next to cars is up to you, the viewer, to decide.
