Things I Ate In Montreal That I Shouldn't Have (...Right Before Fashion Week)

In the days leading up to New York Fashion Week, many members of the industry try to shed a bit of vanity weight, if they have any to shed at all. This weekend, while lots of bloggers, models, and designers were on juice fasts, Master Cleanses, or strident egg white dousing regimes, I was shamelessly gorging on the most fattening foods North America has to offer. To make an obvious story short, I did exactly that. More »

This past weekend, I took a trip up to Quebec for “The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk,” a sprawling exhibition in honor of Jean Paul Gaultier’s 30+ years of enfant terrible-ness at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. The exhibit will run for one more month and boasts about 120 couture and ready-to-wear pieces. My thoughts on the show are here, while this is a gallery of the looks and details I liked best. More »
