Emma Stone Is A Badass Dystopian Heroine In Interview

The infinitely likable Emma Stone tends to come off goofy and “down to earth” in interviews, but if there’s one thing we’ve learned from her many magazine spreads, it’s that she can put on a bustier and make sexyface with the best of them. Through no fault of her own (nothing is Emma Stone’s fault!), the results can vary, but her latest editorial in Interview Magazine shows how thoroughly she’s able to transform with the right photography and styling. In it, she plays the New Wave heroine of some retro-futuristic, dystopian narrative, and dissolves into the “role” so thoroughly that it’s hard to believe this is the girl from Superbad. As one would hopefully expect from a magazine called “interview,” the interview, as conducted by director Cameron Crowe, is worth reading, too. More »

Gallery: 15 Extremely Stylish Man Bands

Over at Fashion Indie last week they offered a gallery of the most stylish man bands of all time. They were spot-on with many (the Stones, Outkast) but it’s a surprisingly tricky prompt to come up with all-male bands known for their striking and original style (for example, the Velvet Underground are eliminated due to Mo Tucker having girl parts). And, for some of Fashion Indie’s picks, I’ll have to respectfully disagree (I never thought of Led Zeppelin as “stylish” so much as “hippies”).
