Robyn Lawley–she of the Italian Vogue covers, watershed Ralph Lauren campaigns and general goodness and decency–stopped by the 2013 American Ballet Theatre Opening Night Spring Gala last night and looked stunning in a strapless beige cocktail dress and matching ankle boots. Please admire how amazing she looks.
…Of course, we were supposed to make the headline “Plus Size Model Robyn Lawley Something Something” but we couldn’t do it without at least quotation marks.
Not only is this fitted, subtly flared tea length frock (from Raf Simons‘ Spring 2013 collection for Christian Dior) an absolutely spectacular cut on her, she also had the good sense to let all the twinkling embroidery speak for itself and didn’t overdo it on the hair and makeup. More
Last night, the Olivier Awards took place in London to celebrate excellence in professional theater. As one might expect, an awards show that rewards performers for merit onstage (as opposed to, say, “Best Shirtless Performance”) attracts a more dressed-up crowd with generally lovely style — not a whole lot of cutout dresses or Wonka suits here. As a result, the red carpet was just so much less offensive than usual.
But then…Helen Mirren. Helen Mirren, Helen Mirren, Helen Mirren. More
For the past week, the TriBeCa Film Festival has been going strong — and that includes its red carpet. Since famous people love getting themselves all sorts of dressed up for any event they will likely be photographed at, the festival’s red carpet held plenty of lovely, weird and fantastic looks. Naturally, there are a couple rather awful ones, but we’ll let you judge that for yourself… More
I’m typically not a celeb-envier; all the cameras, attention, rumors and stress sound…well, stressful. But when I see photos of awesome people geting together at the TIME 100 Gala last night and hanging out like it ain’t no thang, it’s hard not to be jealous. People like Amy Poelher and Jimmy Fallon and Gabrielle Giffords…it’s enough to make me want to invent something awesome, produce a movie starring myself and show up at events in really expensive evening wear (i.e. not Forever 21/H&M, like my usual get-up)…
Out of curiosity, though, who invited Christina Aguilera? More
While promoting The Smurfs 2* in Cancun, Mexico, Katy Perry actually found a nice balance between cartoonishness and ladylike poise. We’re pretty into it! More

Rebel Wilson is hosting the 2013 MTV Movie Awards (airing this Sunday at 9 p.m. ET)–and we’ll be bringing you our usual red carpet shit-talking during the ceremony in realtime. But more importantly: it’s about time Rebel had her moment! She’s an excellent entertainer, bad-ass and babe—a triple threat. Viewers, prepare to be slain.
Before she kills it on stage with her brilliant comedic timing, moves and rhymes, she’s going to kill it on the red carpet. Wilson’s known for her comedy, but she can also work it when it’s time to get glamorous.
Here are ten reasons why we love Rebel Wilson on the red carpet: More
Last night was the Jeffrey Fashion Cares 10th Anniversary Celebration, an event that benefitted multiple nonprofit organizations that help improve the lives of those diagnosed with HIV/AIDS, as well as people in the LGBTQ community.
Plus, Andrej Pejic looked better than everyone else. More
That moment you’ve all (maybe) been waiting for is nearly upon us. No, I don’t mean Game of Thrones, silly – I’m talking about season 6 of Mad Men. But before us normal people get a chance to see the show, there was a snazzy red carpet premiere over at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles because television people like to do those, too.
As one might have guessed, everybody looked sufficiently classed up in that people who are in Mad Men are expected to. However, it seems as though they may have caught the same “tastefully boring” disease that Ashley revealed of the Game of Thrones red carpet. More
Spring Breakers is a film about young women on spring break, so everybody was forced to wear bikinis to the premiere no matter what. Just kidding, I think everybody just looked kind of all right, with a few exceptions. More
The floral macramé-lace and tulle dress has so many interesting things going on–the delicate sleeves, the convenient pockets and the oddball neckline. Everything about this dress is making us excited for all the acid-trip prints we’re planning to wear this Spring.
However! The accessories really sink things here. More
