Jumpsuit Showdown: Sarah Jessica Parker’s Sleek Black Vs. Vanessa Hudgens’ Sparkly Cream

Jumpsuit Showdown: Sarah Jessica Parker's Sleek Black Vs. Vanessa Hudgens' Sparkly Cream

I am an unabashed fan of (almost) all things one-piece. From jumpsuits at work to strange backward rompers to simple black and white pieces, I think combining your top and bottom into one garment can look really wonderful. Last night, both Sarah Jessica Parker and Vanessa Hudgens opted for evening jumpsuits on the red carpet. Both looked great, in my opinion, but whose worked best? More »

Crowdsourcing: Are Rompers Acceptable To Wear To Work?

Crowdsourcing: Are Rompers Acceptable To Wear To Work?

As you may have guessed, I work in an office. I also live in New York which, in the summer, maintains approximately the same conditions as Hades’ “last resort” bathroom. It’s humid, disgusting and despite showering with a plethora of clean water and lovely products, I arrive every day to work looking like I’ve just stepped out of a Nelly video (except in hurr, I cannot take off all my clothes). Pick Of The Week: All Rompers Everything

Pick Of The Week: All Rompers Everything

How do I love rompers? Let me count the ways. Much like Jennifer, I dislike having to place more than one article of clothing upon my person in the morning. But unlike Jennifer, I love rompers, because I ride a bike around and climb up ladders to rooftops and dance on inappropriate surfaces and occasionally, get drunk and fall over, which are all things it’s better to do in a romper than a dress. Gallery: Things We Like About Summer

Gallery: Things We Like About Summer

Unlike the many complainers who constantly pollute the Internet with their anti-fun diatribes, I love summer. I love it so much, in fact, that I was only mildly peeved about living in a loft with no AC from the time I graduated college until the first of this month. (That’s more than four years, for those keeping track at home.) And now that I have the ability to cool my dwelling, I love it even more wholeheartedly. Sure, it can feel like you’re walking around inside someone’s mouth at times, but how much better does that make the ocean breeze feel once you make it to the beach? It’s with this in mind that I present you with some choice words from my colleagues and my own brain about this, the most controversial of seasons. More »

Poll: Was Venus Williams’ Wimbeldon Playsuit Really That Bad?

Poll: Was Venus Williams' Wimbeldon Playsuit Really That Bad?

No Venus! blasts The Daily Mail, calling Venus Williams’ Wimbeldon look “ghastly” and a “fashion disaster” all in one exceptionally wordy headline. Not that the Mail‘s writers are ever arbiters of reasonableness (or good taste), but apparently Venus is taking a lot of criticism for her outfit on the court. Now, it may not move terrifically (see left) and it’s not the most flattering romper I’ve ever seen but frankly: the woman is a professional athlete. If she can play tennis in it, doesn’t the outfit satisfy its purpose? More »
