The 2013 Met Gala took place last night and it was all our worst fears realized interesting! While the theme–PUNK: Chaos to Couture–was largely ignored, it was still observed enough (and hilariously misunderstood) to slip up many attendees.

Since this isn’t a typical red carpet, our criteria for the Met Gala Best Dressed list is thus: in order to make the list, attendees had to (at least) allude to the theme while simultaneously looking like themselves. The best looks were a little off, or more than a little. More »

The biggest red carpet event of the year–the 2012 Met Gala–happened last night to celebrate the 0pening of “Schiaparelli And Prada: Impossible Conversations.” Unsurprisingly, old school Prada muses (like Milla Jovovich and Angela Lindvall) came out of the woodwork. As for the fashion? Sparkly, sheer and extremely unflattering were the orders of the day.

…But! Ugly dresses were the least of their problems, because apparently every good makeup artist in New York was off for the night: lots of hair dye experimentations (we hardly recognized you, Jamie King and Jessica Stam), black lipstick (Lana Del Rey, Kate Bosworth, Camilla Belle), harsh brows (Kate Upton) and whatever happened to Mary-Kate Olsen.
