The Whitney Gala took place last night in New York, drawing stars from film, fashion, art and “having really rich parents.” Here’s what they wore–mostly Louis Vuitton because LV sponsored the party–featuring Michelle Williams, Dianna Agron, Alexa Chung, Lake Bell and more. More
Last night saw the Fashion Group International’s annual Night of Stars Gala–drawing out some of the industry’s best and brightest (and tallest). Check out what a host of designers and supermodels wore, featuring Kate Upton, Doutzen Kroes, Alexa Chung, Karlie Kloss, Joan Smalls and, yes, Miley Cyrus. More

The Bling Ring premiered in LA last night with a splashy Louis Vuitton (of course) and Vanity Fair-hosted red carpet.
The stars wore an impressively interesting assortment of looks–what else would we expect from rising style stars like Emma Watson, not to mention established fashion icons like Chloe Sevigny, Gwen Stefani and Sofia Coppola? Check out all the looks below.
And yes, Paris Hilton was there. What else is she doing these days? More
I went to see a screening of The Bling Ring yesterday. The new Sofia Coppola movie about kids who steal from celebrities is so splashy and entertaining, and Emma Watson looks so great that you almost forget that none of the characters have personalities. More
Hey, betches! Sofia Coppola‘s The Bling Ring premieres at Cannes today! The film, which stars Emma Watson as the Worst, is based on a true story about a group of shallow people who robbed rich and famous shallow people. Zeitgeisty!
Anyway, guess what that means? Horrible early/mid ’00s fashion is back! Did you miss whiskered jeans? Louis Vuitton Murakami bags? Purse dogs? Ever-present Frappuccinos? Unapologetic venality? Paris Hilton being marginally relevant?
Hopefully you didn’t. But let’s take a stroll down the worst kind of memory lane with our carefully considered Bling Ring-inspired shopping guide. More
May 4th was Star Wars day–”May the fourth be with you”–and editors Jennifer Wright and Ashley Cardiff should have done a Star Wars-themed post but they didn’t! Instead, they let their ideas ripen! If you need a refresher on how to play Fuck Marry Kill, well, that sure surprises us, but here’s one anyway. Today’s players are the original trilogy’s protagonists as well as the Big Bad. More
We’re always surprised by which designer collaborations cause a stir and which don’t: Versace for H&M inspired mass hysteria, Jason Wu for Target sold out in five minutes, but we browsed Giambattista for Macy’s and it was downright serene. Anyway, we’re really surprised that people aren’t losing their minds with excitement for Marni‘s H&M collection. By which we mean, it looks awful pretty. Here’s some campaign shots, which have that dreamy, lush suburbia quality that Sofia Coppola always seems to be after. Coppola, by the way, was originally said to be shooting the campaign, but FGR says these were shot by Markus Jans, which we assume means Coppola’s shooting television spots. Liu Wen and Imogen Poots star. More
Behold! The first ad for Marni‘s upcoming H&M collection. More
As we mentioned, H&M held its gigantic runway show for the Versace collection in New York last night. Here’s all the fancy people that showed up (Blake Lively, Jessica Alba, Uma Thurman, Sofia Coppola) and some truly, jaw-droppingly horrible outfits (like Ke$ha in a full-body leopard suit). Gird your loins. More
