Following her “comeback story” in Interview, it seems like Agyness Deyn is quickly re-saturating the media market, and I’m not mad at it. Why do I like her? Well, she’s super cute, she’s got personality (or at least she appears to; I don’t actually know her), she knows her way around a New Wave song, and she hasn’t said anything too asinine to the press. Good for her! In the March issue of InStyle UK, Aggy plays up her British-ness with various mod get-ups that are clearly meant to reference her English supermodel foremother Twiggy. On Friday, Jessica Pauline Ogilvie filed a brief on the sometimes disturbingly hyper-sexual–or at least misleadingly sexually sophisticated–representation of teenage girls in the fashion world. She chose a photo of high schooler Lindsey Wixson pulling down a pair of Wayfarers in standard Lolita-allusion.
