One of the most unmistakeable trends to have emerged for Spring 2012 is cobalt. Cobalt is everywhere this fashion week: minis, gowns, outerwear and especially trousers. While sifting through all the runway galleries for trends, we couldn’t help but feel a bit of deja vu when we came across Yigal Azrouel’s collection and Rachel Comey’s in short succession. Here, both designers send cobalt trousers down the runway and both pair the rich shade with restrained sandy beige… but Yigal’s look is all Celine-y simplicity, and Comey does downtown cool.
