If you’d asked me that question a few weeks ago, I know exactly how I would have answered: Fashion magazines use Photoshop to make people thinner, to airbrush skin imperfections, to make eyes bigger and teeth whiter. Robyn Lawley–she of the Italian Vogue covers, watershed Ralph Lauren campaigns and general goodness and decency–stopped by the 2013 American Ballet Theatre Opening Night Spring Gala last night and looked stunning in a strapless beige cocktail dress and matching ankle boots. A minor uproar has arisen over the latest cover of T, The New York Times‘ style magazine. Apparently, it has offended the delicate sensibilities of NYT readers from Westport to Park Slope because it features a thin, young-looking model wearing vaguely bondage-inspired things.
